Joe is a top notch trainer, his record speaks for itself. He was the leading trainer over the past Winter Meet
at Turfway Park in 2005.
He has trained multiple stakes winners including:
Marciann, Indiana Horse of the Year in 2000;
Pricearose, Grade 2-placed on grass in 2000;
Saratoga Humor, winner of the 2003 New Year’s Eve Stakes at Mountaineer.
Call The Lord, winner of the 2005 Hansel Stakes
and of course:
Private Horde, two time winner of both the Forego and Marfa stakes, the AG Vanderbilt, Waterford Park
Handicap among various other wins to give him a total of 13 wins lifetime and earnings of over $700,000
Joe lives and trains in Russell Springs with his wife Peggy and his daughter Alison lives right down
the road, she is an Emergency Room RN.
Joe has once again hooked up with Kermit Burton and Gary Robertson who have had great success in the
past with horses such as Consider the Night, Call the Lord, Dynagold, and now along with the Bennetts, Positive Cash Flow.
